On 3rd April, 2025, under the leadership of Dr. R.K. Gupta, Professor and Head, Division of Entomology at SKUAST-Jammu celebrated Aquatic Insect Day at the old entomology farm water stream bodies. The event was coordinated by Dr. Uma Shankar and Dr. Devinder Sharma, who organized engaging activities to highlight the importance of aquatic insects. Four teams, each comprising three members, participated in an exciting quiz competition on aquatic insects. Students were encouraged to submit their assigned charts and displays on time to enrich the event. Additionally, a Best Painting Award contest was held, allowing participants to showcase their creativity while learning about aquatic biodiversity. The celebration fostered knowledge, teamwork, and appreciation for aquatic ecosystems among students and faculty.
